I remember that agenda cover- it's gorgeous! What a great idea to make to sell before Christmas! Did you consider doing them sort of like a pillowcase idea instead of using binding? I have done it once for a table topper and just last night at quilt guild, the featured quilter (Denise Labadie) does that too- at least all of the samples she brought were like that. And it looks very nice. Just a thought.

Durn it!!! I so wish I had been able to take this class! I will do my best to practice what you have shown in your class- my machine quilting leaves so much to be desired. And since I have made space in my basement for a quilting machine, I need to learn how to do it before I start hinting! lol I bet your students love this class, Christine.

Good morning!

It's so great that Aidan likes Cross Country! My kids did too, and the meets were fun to go to.

MY Ben is going to Algonquin in Ottawa, and RICH'S Ben is living in Fort Collins... yes, we have two Bens. lol

Holly and Ben are coming here for Canadian Thanksgiving and we are all very excited to see them. They are doing well by all accounts, but we want to see for ourselves!

Glad to know that the class went well. I am currently cutting out a simple baby quilt for the neighbor across the road. The dad is a firefighter and I managed to find ONE fat quarter with fire trucks on it... then I found some American-type fabric with the ribbons on it. To pull it all together, I bought some red, white, and blue- and I should be all set! I will back it with light blue flannel to make it soft.

If I remember, I will take a photo when I am finished. I have so many projects to finish! But other than my design wall, I have my studio set up the way I want it now, so it will be easier to get stuff done.

I can't wait to see the photos of the store, Dyane is so great and enthusiastic!

How did the machine quilting class go? I wish I could have been there to take it, I'm afraid my imagination regarding machine quilting is too limited!

I do want to learn though. And when the time comes, I do have enough room in my basement for a big frame... lol!

Wow, Christine- the boys grew over the summer! They are both so much taller than even the last time I saw them (I think that was when you got your quilting frame). Are they glad to be back in school, or do they live for the weekends like Chloe does? lol
I love your blog, I check for new stuff every day. Blogs are so great! I feel like I am still a little in the loop, being able to keep up with everyone's news.
I miss you all, especially now that the quilt classes have started up again.
