New Block of the Month quilt to be released SOON!!!

Nellie and I have wanted to do a fusible applique Block of the Month quilt for years and this March we finally started designing it!! Since then we've been working on making the quilt and writing the patterns and I'm so happy to say that it is ALMOST DONE!!!

My sample of the quilt is actually on display now at the Quilted Cardinal in Beamsville, Ontario as they will be running the block of the month as one of their classes this fall!

We will be releasing the patterns VERY SOON, but I wanted to give you a little taste of what's to come... here are the fabrics that I selected back in March for my sample. The pattern is written for fusible applique (which is what my sample is made with), but they can be used for wool applique too (Nellie is making that version).

We can't wait to show you the patterns!!! Once the final proof reading is done they will be available at quilt shops and online!!

New Kids Quilt pattern from Upper Canada Quiltworks

Northcott has some great new fabric lines coming out and this one is super sweet!!

"A Little Birdie Told Me" is a line of flannel fabrics featuring woodland creatures, bugs and flowers and we used it to make a cute kids quilt using fusible applique circles. Our "Hip Hip Hooray" pattern makes a twin sized quilt - 65" x 81" - perfect for a little one who is just graduating from a crib to a "big girl" or "big boy" bed. And we all know how cuddly soft Northcott flannel is!!!

"Hip Hip Hooray" quilt

You can get the "Hip Hip Hooray" pattern from a quilt shop near you, or you can download an epattern from our Craftsy store. The quilt is also SUPER cute when made with a white background!!

Winter Warm-Ups

New pattern number two is finally ready and now available on my website.
"Winter Warm-Ups" features a snow globe, fuzzy mittens and a nice warm mug of hot chocolate. What fun it was to do applique with batiks! I'll be dipping into my stash again - SOON!
