New Halloween pattern from Upper Canada Quiltworks Publishing

WOW!!! I can't believe that it is already August 17th!! Since I was on holidays for two weeks and then I was working extra shifts at the drug store to cover other people's holidays the first half of August just seems to have vanished into thin air!!

BUT.... I have been doing lots of work at home too and a couple of the things we've been working on are new patterns for Upper Canada Quiltworks using new fabric lines from Northcott!!

The first new one is coming out just in time to sew for Halloween and it is called "More Little Tricksters" which uses Northcott's new "Happy Halloween" line.

Our pattern uses the panel from the line as well as some of the fun co-ordinates.

The pattern for "More Little Tricksters" is now available at quilt shops and in our Craftsy Store!

Halloween 2010

Since Carson was sick last Halloween, he didn't get to wear the AWESOME Ninja costume that I made him. Luckily (for me) he decided to wear it this year - and (luckily for me) it still fit. Aidan decided to not dress up. Instead he stayed in (where it was WARM) and handed out candy.

Scary Night II

The second line of Halloween fabric that we get to design with is the "Scary Night II" line by Laurie Godin. I think we are going to design a table topper with it! The panel is really nice and would make a great wall hanging. Here are a few of the fabrics in the line:

Costume Club

Now that we are almost done our three big quilts for Northcott, a package arrived in the mail with two more fabric lines from Northcott. These are both Halloween fabrics and they are REALLY cute!! Here are some samples from the first line - "Costume Club".

A bat, an eskimo and Batman

After much deliberation, hard work (on my behalf) and tears (both Carson and me) we finally accomplished the hard task of deciding on and making halloween cotumes for the boys. This year Carson was a bat (although at first he said he wanted to be a cat - hence the tears) and Aidan was an eskimo (costume rescued from the cat costume fiasco). Pugsley even got in the act and dressed up as Batman. They got way too much candy - but Mike and I helped to eat it!

Getting ready for Halloween

Here are some pictures of the boys getting our pumpkin ready for Halloween. Aidan surpised me - usually he hates getting his hands dirty! Pugsley sat uder the table and waited for pumpkin seeds to be dropped on the floor - he seemed to just love them, but really, he'd eat anything (that wasn't dog food).
